FAQS: Can I Add Leads to an Existing Campaign?

Short Answer

No — once a campaign is created, its leads list is fixed. You cannot add new prospects to an existing campaign after it's been set up.

If you want to reach additional leads (including lookalikes), you'll need to create a new campaign.


How to Find & Add Lookalike Leads

If you want to expand your outreach based on a similar audience to an existing campaign, here's the recommended approach:

Option 1 — Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator Lookalikes

  1. Open your existing leads list in LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  2. Use LSN's "Similar" feature or refine your search based on the profile characteristics of your current list
  3. Export or copy the new search/list URL
  4. Import the leads into Samplead
  5. Create a new campaign using the new list

Option 2 — Scrape a Website or New Source

If your lookalike audience comes from a specific website, event page, or directory:

  1. Share the URL with the Samplead team
  2. We'll help scrape and build the leads list for you
  3. Once ready, create a new campaign with that list

Tips for Keeping Campaigns Organized

  • Mirror your settings — When creating a follow-up campaign for a similar audience, copy the messaging and sequence from your original campaign to stay consistent
  • Name campaigns clearly — Include the source or audience type in the campaign name (e.g., "X Leads – LSN Lookalikes Q2") so it's easy to track
  • Avoid duplicates — Samplead will flag prospects that already exist in other campaigns, but it's good practice to cross-check your lists before importing
