How does our ICP per campaign feature work

The ICP per Campaign feature lets you define, test, and optimize a unique Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) for each campaign. This gives greater flexibility and precision in targeting, helping you discover the right companies and prospects faster.

What is an ICP?

An ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) defines the characteristics of the companies and prospects you want to target. This includes attributes like company size, industry, and key job titles.

Traditionally, ICPs were static and applied broadly to all campaigns. Once set, the same ICP would be used across sequences, without the ability to adjust or test different profiles for individual campaigns.

With ICP per Campaign, you can now create a unique ICP for each campaign, tailoring it to the audience, message, and goal of that specific sequence.

How It Works

Using ICP per campaign allows you to scale your outreach while remaining personalized and relevant. The core benefits include:

  • Experiment with Multiple ICPs: Easily adjust filters like company size, job titles, industries, and locations to test different segments and compare results across different sequences.
  • Company Lookalikes: Build your ICP by adding companies you know are a strong fit. Our system then discovers similar companies (lookalikes) and relevant roles within them.
  • Accelerated Feedback Loop: Your campaigns become more effective, and your feedback loop is much faster, allowing you to quickly validate new segments.
  • Highly Targeted Campaigns: Create campaigns that resonate powerfully with specific, granular audiences.

Key Features Overview

  1. Company Lookalikes

Use this field to enter companies that best represent your ideal target — for example, your top customers. Samplead will use these as lookalike examples to find similar companies. We recommend adding those that most accurately reflect your ICP.

If you choose to use this feature enter 10 lookalike companies to optimize the system's performance.

Note - you need to enter the website domain of each company, e.g. 'samplead.co'

  1. ICP Score

Every ICP you create receives a score at the bottom of the screen. This score reflects whether there are enough prospects available for the defined ICP.

      • Green: Plenty of prospects available.
      • Orange: Prospects are limited, but the ICP is still workable.
      • Red (Low): Not enough prospects. You need to broaden your ICP by adding more filters, job titles, or lookalike companies.

  1. Preview Prospects:

On the right, you’ll see a preview of prospects Samplead has found based on the ICP filters you entered. Review these examples carefully — if you spot prospects that don’t match your ICP, you’ll need to adjust your filters.

  1. Copy Across Campaigns

You can quickly reuse an ICP from a different profile or campaign, saving time and ensuring consistency across your multiple outreach efforts.
